DEEPER INSIGHTS DRIVING BETTER RESULTS

Discover More Fundraising Opportunities and Drive More Action

For over a decade, CDP has been helping stations identify fundraising opportunities by publishing system benchmarks across 30 of the most relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and comparing those results with an individual station’s performance in our Revenue Opportunity & Action Report—the ROAR. These benchmarks are targeted specifically for public media stations and generated using data submitted to the National Reference File from nearly 200 stations across the system—TV and radio, large and small.

Now, we’re expanding on the proven value of these benchmarks by giving stations a suite of tools to efficiently gain deeper actionable insight on your donor file and fundraising performance. CDP Insights combines the power of the National Reference File with data analytics and visualization technology—a veritable one-stop shop for fundraising benchmarks and trends specific to public media.

Bringing Data into Focus

With data visualization, interpreting the data, identifying opportunities and sharing data-driven action plans becomes so much easier. CDP Insights’ suite of interactive data and reporting tools does all that through the state-of-the-art business intelligence platform Tableau. And for the first time, CDP Insights is able to blend giving data with streaming data and demographic data so stations can track more benchmarks, identify more trends, discover more fundraising opportunities and ultimately drive more action and results.

Unlock Donor Insights and Take Action

Using CDP Insights, you can easily segment donors to find out, for example, how many mid-level, loyal, highly engaged donors have given this year. This reporting and analysis is perfect for setting goals. The next step is to take direct action. With Sherlock’s Donor Download report, you can quickly download a list of donor IDs for action, along with additional data points to make your strategy decisions even easier.

Peer Learning that Drives More Progress

More valuable insights can be gained through regular discussion groups amongst CDP Insights organizations, allowing for deeper understanding of and context around trends and data to identify best practices, foster idea-sharing and actionable learnings among public media colleagues. Stations will also have access to one-on-one analysis and report reviews with CDP’s Strategic Analyst, Deb Ashmore, to identify important findings, discuss fundraising goals and challenges, and brainstorm ways to improve fundraising performance.
